Glossop SNT - Community Speed Watch Event
The Hadfield Community Speed Watch Volunteer Team completed an event on the A626 Marple Rd, Charleswoth this afternoon, Tuesday 6th October.
The event was held between 2.50 pm and 3.50 pm and the speed limit there is 30 mph.
A total 481 vehicles went by the team during the event this afternoon - with 6 of those vehicles being recorded as speeding above 35 mph. with the highest being recorded at 41 mph.
The community in the Gamesley and St John's Ward have identified speeding as one of their Policing Priorites. With Marple Rd specifically named as a location where speeding occurrs.
Don't forget that our Community Voice Surveys help the Police to find out and identify what the issues are that affect our local communities and they also help to identify more ways that we can support them - You can fill it out online here, www.derbyshirealert.co.uk
🗣️ ‘We'll ask - you say and we do’.
Glossop SNT would like to thank the 1 volunteer who gave up their free time today by helping to make our roads a bit safer and to help reduce speeding in our local communitiies.
